Doctor of Nutrition and Dietetics Raminder Deshmukh I entered the field of nutrition in 1992. I received my master's degree in dietetics and public health nutrition from Delhi University's Institute of Home Economics. Since then, I've worked as a consulting dietitian/nutritionist in over twenty-five different hospitals, largely as a therapeutic nutritionist (one who specializes in diet and sickness) and also as a hospital dietary services advisor/manager. I learned a lot about how difficult it is for patients and their loved ones to maintain a healthy diet throughout and after a medical crisis. I have spent over 20 years as a consultant for numerous infant, toddler, and pregnant mother nutritional programs due to my background in hospital and therapeutic nutrition. In 2020, I will receive an honorary doctorate for my contributions to the study of nutrition and dietetics.
All of this has led me to conclude that our culture suffers from a severe lack of nutritional knowledge. No one knows the full impact that a wide range of foods and dietary patterns has on our bodies and minds. My hope is that our clinic can help make up for this shortcoming. I support a starvation-free, entirely home-cooked diet for everyone. The long-term goal of my diet is to repair nutritional deficiencies while also encouraging a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
